Brian Pridgen, MD

Bio

Dr. Pridgen is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He completed subspecialty training in hand and upper extremity surgery at a combined plastic and orthopedic surgery fellowship. His clinical interests in hand and upper extremity surgery include fracture care from the distal radius to the fingers, wrist arthroscopy, arthritis, Dupuytren’s, tendon surgery, vascular disorders including Raynaud’s and scleroderma, and complex trauma requiring microsurgical reconstruction. Additionally, he has an interest in peripheral nerve surgery, including compression neuropathy, nerve transfer, nerve repair, and treatment of neuromas and painful amputation sites with targeted muscle reinnervation (TMR) and regenerative peripheral nerve interface (RPNI).

Academic Bio

Dr. Pridgen completed medical school at Stanford University. He remained at Stanford for residency training in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He then completed a combined orthopedic and plastic surgery fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle, a renowned center for hand and upper extremity fellowship training due to its high volume of complex hand trauma. He completed his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering at North Carolina State University, where he graduated summa cum laude as valedictorian.
